Google Pixel 2 Charging Assembly Replacement

Use a plastic opening tool to pry up the charging assembly.
The assembly is glued down, so pry slowly and carefully. Applying heat to back of the phone where the assembly is adhered can help soften the adhesive.
Do not completely remove the charging assembly yet. It is still attached to the vibrator motor.
