  • When you power up, the PS3 will have to format the new hard drive.

  • You may see a message similar to the following, 'The system software cannot be run correctly...Insert storage media that contains update data of version 4.11 or later, and then press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time...'.

  • If you are trying to restore a backup to your new hard drive, and, after following the steps from the previous message, you receive an error message similar to the following, 'The data is corrupted (8002F225)', then you may need to grab the latest PS3 System Software Update from http://us.playstation.com/support/system... before the system will be able to format the new drive.

  • Hit 'X' and continue until the formatting is complete.

  • Once the formatting is done, go to the 'Settings' XMB option and select 'System Settings' then go to 'System Information'

  • You should now see the storage capacity of your new hard drive.

Cuando enciendas, la PS3 tendrás que formatear el nuevo disco duro.

Es posible que veas un mensaje similar al siguiente: "El software del sistema no se puede ejecutar correctamente... Inserte un medio de almacenamiento que contenga datos actualizados de la versión 4.11 o posterior, y luego presiona los botones INICIO y SELECCIONAR al mismo tiempo..."

Si estás intentando restaurar una copia de seguridad en tu nuevo disco duro y, después de seguir los pasos del mensaje anterior, recibes un mensaje de error similar al siguiente, "Los datos están dañados (8002F225)",

es posible que debas obtener la última actualización del software del sistema PS3 de http://us.playstation.com/support/system... antes de que el sistema pueda formatear la nueva unidad.

Presiona 'X' y continúa hasta que se complete el formateo.

Una vez que hayas finalizado el formateo, ves a la opción XMB 'Configuración' y selecciona 'Configuración del sistema' y luego ves a 'Información del sistema'

Ahora deberías ver la capacidad de almacenamiento de tu nuevo disco duro.
