  • To fix the issue:

  • 1. Use compressed air (gently) to blow into the connector to remove liquid or loose debris. Alternatively use a straw and blow directly into the connector.

  • 2 . Clean the connector with clean water and paper towel cut in tiny strip. Dispense water gently via drop directly into the connector, and remove them again with paper towel strips

  • 3. Let it dry: leave the connector alone for 6hrs so it can dry out before charging. Using the phone in this time span is ok as long as it's not charged.

  • If charging is needed urgently, use wireless charging (S9+)

  • Be aware that the charge cable connector can be contaminated with salt/ or rust. Therefore it need to be gently cleaned as described above . Else it can transfer to the phone, and cause the issue again. Or cause the issue while connected to the phone.

  • If there is fabric fibers inside the connector, these can be removed with a needle by scraping the bottom of the connector. Use magnification during operation is best.

Para arreglar este problema:

1. Usa aire comprimido (regúlalo para obtener baja presión) en el interior del conector para eliminar el exceso de líquido o de trozos de plástico sueltos. Alternativamente, puedes usar una pajita (caña) para soplar directamente en el conector.

Limpia el conector con agua limpia y un trozo de papel cortado en pequeñas tiras. Pon el agua mediante goteo, y elimina estas gotas con el papel.

Déjalo secar: deja el conector al aire durante al menos 6 h para que se pueda secar antes de cargar. El teléfono puede emplearse durante este periodo, siempre y cuando no se cargue.

Si se necesita cargar urgentemente, usa una carga sin conector (wireless) (S9+)

Recuerda que el cable de carga puede estar contaminado con sal y/o varios óxidos. Por tanto, también necesitará ser limpiado como hemos descrito en los puntos anteriores. Si no se hace esto, se podría transferir suciedad al cargador, y los problemas podrían volver a repetirse, ya sea al usar el teléfono o al conectarse al cable.

Si hay fibras de tela dentro del conector, se pueden retirar con una aguja raspando la base. Es recomendable usar una lupa durante la operación.
