  • Remove the battery.

  • Be sure to remove the protective liner to expose the adhesive on your new battery before you set it in place.

  • If needed, try re-using the existing adhesive to secure the battery. Alternatively, try a small piece of double-sided tape such as Tesa 61395, or a dab of liquid adhesive such as E6000.

  • If you're using an iFixit repair kit, proceed to the guide linked in the conclusion below to install a new Force Touch sensor and re-seal your watch.

  • Alternatively, if you are just replacing the adhesive and not the sensor, see the adhesive replacement guide for applying new adhesive and then reassembling.

Verwijder de batterij.

Zorg ervoor dat je de beschermlaag die de plakstrip beschermt los maakt voordat je de nieuwe batterij bevestigt.

Indien nodig kun je proberen de oude plakstrip her te gebruiken om je nieuwe batterij te bevestigen. Als alternatief kun je ook een klein stukje dubbelzijdige tape, zoals Tesa 61395, of een vloeibare lijm, zoals E6000, gebruiken.

Als je een iFixit reparatieset gebruikt, ga dan verder naar de handleiding die verderop in de conclusie staat gelinkt om een nieuwe Force Touch sensor te installeren en je horloge dicht te maken.

Als je alleen de lijm aan het vervangen bent, en niet de sensor, kun je de handleiding voor het vervangen van de lijm gebruiken om de nieuwe lijm toe te passen en je horloge daarna weer in elkaar te zetten.
