  • It is possible to remove the motherboard whilst keeping the daughterboard in its place. However the flex connector of the daughterboard sits on the backside of the motherboard and it's a bit of a fumbling to disconnect it while you're holding the motherboard in your hand.

  • In case you're planning to remove the motherboard without the daughterboard take especially care not to damage any surrounding components whilst disconnecting the flex cable.

  • Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry up the motherboard until you can get a good grip.

  • The motherboard sits loosely on the mid frame so there are different positions to place the spudger and to pry it up. Avoid to damage any surrounding components.

Het is mogelijk om het moederbord te verwijderen en het dochterbord op haar plek te houden. De flexaansluiting van het dochterbord zit echter verbonden aan de achterkant van het moederbord en het is wat lastig om deze los te koppelen terwijl je het moederbord in je hand houdt.

Als je van plan bent het moederbord zonder het dochterbord te verwijderen, wees dan extra voorzichtig dat je geen omliggende onderdelen beschadigt tijdens het loskoppelen van de flexkabel.

Gebruik de punt van een spudger om het moederbord omhoog te wrikken, totdat je een goede grip op het moederbord kan krijgen.

Het moederbord zit losjes op het midframe, dus dat betekent dat je de spudger er op verschillende manieren onder kunt steken om het vervolgens omhoog te wrikken. Voorkom wel dat je omliggende onderdelen beschadigt.
