  • Use the flat end of a spudger to pry up the battery from the top right corner.

  • You will be prying against the case directly above the mainboard. Pry carefully to avoid damaging any close components.

  • You may need to reheat and reapply the iOpener repeatedly to further soften the adhesive. The adhesive is tough and it may take a few tries to get the spudger started under the battery.

  • Use the spudger to pry up the battery until you can insert an opening pick to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

  • Try your best not to deform the battery during this process. Soft-shell lithium-ion batteries can leak dangerous chemicals, catch fire, or even explode if damaged. Do not use excessive force or pry at the battery with metal tools.

Je zult tegen de behuizing, direct boven het mainbord, wrikken. Wees daarom voorzichtig en voorkom dat je omliggende onderdelen beschadigt.

Het kan nodig zijn dat je je iOpener opnieuw moet verwarmen en toe moet dienen om de lijm verder te verzwakken. De lijm is erg stug en het kan een aantal pogingen kosten om de spugder onder de batterij te krijgen.

Gebruik je spudger om de batterij omhoog te duwen totdat je een openingsplectrum onder de batterij kan steken om te voorkomen dat de lijm zich opnieuw gaat hechten.

Zorg dat je de batterij niet vervormt tijdens deze procedure. Soft-shell lithium-ion batterijen kunnen gevaarlijke chemicaliën lekken, in brand vliegen of zelfs exploderen als deze worden beschadigd. Gebruik geen excessieve kracht en wrik de batterij nooit omhoog met metalen tools.
