  • With all of its defenses thwarted, the keyboard PCB gives way and peels from the chassis, fully exposing the membrane that was sandwiched underneath.

  • The membrane happens to be a single sheet of die-cut silicone, reminiscent of some old-school keyboard covers.

  • Apart from the improved keycaps, this keyboard design is still pretty lacking in serviceability. The sheer amount of disassembly required, along with obstacles such as rivets and adhesive, makes replacing a failed keyboard seriously impractical.

Con tutte le sue difese abbattute, il PCB della tastiera cede e si stacca dal telaio, esponendo completamente la membrana che era inserita sotto.

La membrana si presenta come un singolo foglio di silicone fustellato, che ricorda le cover per tastiera di vecchia scuola.

A parte i tasti migliorati, questo tipo di tastiera è ancora carente in termini di manutenzione. L'enorme quantità di smontaggio richiesto, insieme a ostacoli come i rivetti e l'adesivo, rende la sostituzione di una tastiera malfunzionante ben poco pratica.
