Carefully unweave the fan's wire from the two highlighted overhangs holding it in place.
The first image shows the white plastic piece still attached to the wire. This was an oversight on the photographers. If you have followed the guide to this point, this piece should already have been removed.
Feed the wire and wire bundle through the hole in the fan case.
