Release the button housing

  • The simple fix here was to take a metal pick (or other thin but firm tool) and carefully get under the chrome housing (ring) at the bottom and wedge it up or slightly forward.

  • To my surprise there was a slight click/pop that indicated the housing ring was released.

  • Plug the washing machine back into the power source and lightly touch the Power / Cancel button actuator.

  • My advice to avoid this in the future is to more carefully "touch" the center of the gray actuator with minimal force rather then "mash" the whole button during use.

La solution simple consistait à prendre un pique métallique (ou un autre outil fin mais solide) et à passer délicatement sous le corps chromé (anneau) à la base et à le caler vers le haut ou légèrement vers l'avant.

À ma grande surprise, un léger déclic s'est produit, indiquant que la bague du corps était libérée.

Rebrancher la machine à laver à son alimentation électrique et toucher légèrement l'actionneur du bouton Marche/Annulation.

Pour éviter ce problème à l'avenir, je conseille de « toucher » plus prudemment le centre du bouton gris avec un minimum de force plutôt que d'écraser tout le bouton lors de l'utilisation.
