    Let's suppose that one of your garments has lost a button. This would normally not be a matter of major concern, except for the fact that this particular button was not like other buttons: this button was sewn on with a ribbon. Luckily, a ribbon button such as yours can in fact be replaced, and this is how.
    In this guide we are using contrasting thread for visibility. When it comes time to do your actual project, you will want to use thread and that matches the color of your ribbon.

      Esaminare il capo di abbigliamento da cui si è staccato il bottone. Vicino al punto in cui era fissato il bottone dovrebbe esserci una sorta di taschina.

      Infilare un'estremità della fettuccia nella taschina spingendola al di là della parte scucita.

      Tenendo ferma la fettuccia, posizionare il capo di abbigliamento nella macchina da cucire allineando il piedino sopra il punto nel quale si vuole fissare il bottone con passante.

      Ripassare la cucitura con il punto indietro.

      Infilare la fettuccia nel bottone con passante dal basso verso l'alto, quindi passare sopra il raggio centrale e infilarla nell'altra metà del bottone.

      Tendere bene la fettuccia. 

      Ripiegare l'estremità non fissata della fettuccia, inserendola nella taschina, così come già fatto all'inizio con l'altra estremità.

      Terminata la cucitura, affrancare il filo con qualche punto indietro.
