    Let's suppose that one of your garments has lost a button. This would normally not be a matter of major concern, except for the fact that this particular button was not like other buttons: this button was sewn on with a ribbon. Luckily, a ribbon button such as yours can in fact be replaced, and this is how.
    In this guide we are using contrasting thread for visibility. When it comes time to do your actual project, you will want to use thread and that matches the color of your ribbon.
    If you don't have a sewing machine, you can still complete this guide by hand sewing.

      Examinez le vêtement d’où provient le bouton. Vous allez remarquer une sorte de coulisse dans laquelle le ruban doit passer.

      Insérez l’extrémité du ruban à l’intérieur de la coulisse.

      Tout en maintenant le ruban, placez le vêtement sur la machine à coudre et alignez le pied presseur à l’endroit où le ruban doit être cousu.

      Faites quelques points arrière pour renforcer la couture.

      Enfilez le ruban dans le bouton en le faisant passer alternativement sous puis sur le passant.

      Tirez sur le ruban.

      Repliez l’extrémité du ruban et insérez-la dans la coulisse (comme vous l’avez fait à l’étape 2). 
