  • Next point on our checklist—a huge flex cable we've never seen before!

  • After the removal of another metal shield and two antenna cables, we go on and lift out the flex cable.

  • To our surprise, we get not only the flex cable but the complete daughterboard as well. It's glued to the USB-C port, which is equipped with an IP67-approved rubber gasket.

  • We're happy to see a fairly modular USB-C port here. If (or when) it finally gives out, you'll just have to replace this big flex cable along with it.

Nächster Punkt auf unserer Checkliste - ein gigantisches Flachbandkabel wie wir es noch nie zuvor gesehen haben!

Nach dem Entfernen zweier Antennenkabel und einer weiteren Metallabdeckung, heben wir das Flachbandkabel heraus.

Zu unserer Überraschung halten wir nicht nur das Kabel, sondern auch das ganze Daughterboard in der Hand. Dieses ist an den USB-C Anschluss angeklebt, welcher mit einer IP67 sicheren Gummidichtung versehenen ist.

Wir freuen uns, einen recht modularen USB-C Anschluss vorzufinden. Sollte dieser (irgendwann) seinen Geist aufgeben, muss er nur zusammen mit dem Flachbandkabel ersetzt werden.
