    • Here the plate has been removed exposing the slot for the Airport Card and User added RAM slot.

    • Remove the four T15 torx screws.

    • Set the unit on it's base, grasp the neck and tilt it to separate the base.

    • The IDE cable unplugs first.

    • Locate the 3.6 volt 1/2 AA Lithium PRAM battery on the logic board and replace it.

These directions do not explain how to do any step of the process particularly showing where the battery is and how to carefully remove the bottom plate without breaking the logic board connector or cables. Also they are redundant as there are already directions to replace the PRAM Battery on this site. There is no point in there being two sets of directions for the same fix.

Sad that none of the pictures actually show the battery! Look for the other iMac G4 battery guide its better, although it misses the step of recoating the heat sinks with thermal paste.
