The lid hinge cover is located at the base of the silver lid and is held in place by five pegs which are lightly glued in place.

Insert the flat end of a spudger between the right side of the lid hinge cover and the top cover.

If there's not enough space to insert a spudger, push the silver lid to the left.

Use the spudger to pry up the cover.

Firmly pry near the pegs to avoid cracking the cover.
