This is necessary even if you only need to replace a front arm.

Remove 2 screws securing a rear arm on each side (or only on the side of an arm you are replacing).

Remove the screw accessed from within the battery compartment retaining each rear arm. These have 2.5mm hex heads and were previously loosened.

You should now be able to gently ease off the rear arms.
