The heat sink is adhered to the CPU with thermal paste.

Insert an opening pick about 2 mm under the heat sink at its bottom edge directly to the left of the display cable.

The opening pick should be between the heat sink and the frame surrounding the motherboard.

Slide the opening pick to the left toward the heat pipe to detach the heat sink from the CPU.
