Grasp one end of the front headstrap pad and pull it away from the headstrap to remove it.

During reassembly, press the pads firmly against the headstrap, starting in the middle and moving toward the edges, until all the clips on the pads are completely seated in the headstrap. There should be no gaps between the pads and the headstrap.
