[* black] When the two halves are separated, carefully lift up the front of the keyboard and touchpad assembly.
[* red] You will see three ribbon cables attached to the motherboard.
-[* orange] On the large connector, carefully push away from you with the plastic opening tool on each white tab located on the sides of the connector to release the cable. (Picture 3)
[* black] Once the three ribbon cables are disconnected, remove the top cover containing the keyboard and touchpad.
