+[* red] Use the flat end of an iFixit Spudger to disconnect the battery cable from its socket in the logic board.
+[* green] Locate the battery and the three 4.00mm Phillips screws that hold it in place.
+[* black] Unscrew and remove the three screws.
+[* black] Lift the battery up and remove.
+[* icon_caution] Removing the battery can dislodge the touchpad bracket. Be cautious to place it over the alignment pins.
