-[* black] Lift up the ribbon cables that connect the display to the motherboard. Make sure to remove the cables in the order they are labeled (1, 2, 3). 3 is a little trickier, because it is connected to a port, and locked into the board. Use a spudger to pry up the black tab in the connector port, and slip the 3rd cable out.
