-[* black] Using an iFixit opening tool (or your finger or nail), push down on the plastic edge of the ear cushion to fit under the nine plastic fasteners that are on the inside of the earphone.
-[* red] After pushing the ear cushion into place, the nine fasteners should be visible on the circumference of the ear phone if you pull the cushion to the center of the earphone.
