[* black] Use the flat end of a spudger to pull the optical drive fan connector out of its socket.
+[* black] I found that it is optional steps to remove the motherboard connectors. Please check the cables to verify which one's you should disconnect. I was able to pull the motherboard out far enough to connect the sata cable without disconnecting the lower cables.
