[* icon_note] For the last section, battery leads will be soldered to surface-mount solder pads. These type of joints are harder to solder because the lead has no solid anchor point (such as a thru-hole) to hold it in place during soldering.
[* black] To de-solder the joint, place a solder wick on top of the existing solder ball and press down on the solder wick with the soldering iron.
[* black] Once the solder melts and flows into the wick, remove the wick from the joint.
[* black] Repeat the same procedure on the remaining leads.
