-[* black] After disassembling the handset, you should see a circular component at the top section of the handset. That circular component is your speaker.
-[* black] There should also be three small screws holding the circular component in place.
-[* black] Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws.
-[* black] After the screws are removed, you can now pull the speaker out and check it.
-[* black] If it looks damaged, you might want to change it. If this is the case, soldering is necessary.
-[* black] To do that, cut the two wires connecting the speaker to the circuit board. With the new speaker that you have purchased, and some soldering wire, resolder the new speaker.
