[* black] The second LED array is looooong, (See the [http://animal-space.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/invisible-measuring-tape.jpg|invisible measuring tape|new_window=true] in the photo, for reference) wrapping around the top and both sides of the faceplate.
[* black] As it's fairly thin, delicate, and attached with more adhesive tape, we found it a lil tricky to peel this sucker out. But we prevailed!
[* black] With the LED array out of the way, only two Phillips screws remain between us and the USB port, which we easily remove.
-[* black] The USB port board is quite boring, featuring only one capacitor; it appears to be a travel vessel for information, not doing any processing itself.
+[* black] One straggler remains after clearing out the rest of the HMD—the lone externally-facing USB port. This board is just an interconnect, without any active circuitry of its own.
