-[* black] Locate the wide ribbon cable connecting the screen to the motherboard
-[* black] With your thumbs at the base of the ribbon cable (closest end to the motherboard), carefully push the cable horizontally away from the motherboard and toward the rest of the cable
-[* black] WARNING: previous step should be done with extreme care as it is possible to rip the ribbon cable with excessive force and further damage the camera
-[* black] The cable should slide out of its harness, afterwards the screen with ribbon cable still attached can be separated from the rest of the camera
+[* black] Locate the wide ribbon cable connecting the screen to the motherboard.
+[* black] Place your thumb at the base of the ribbon cable where it connects to the motherboard. Carefully pull the ribbon cable out of its connector without pulling it up or away from the motherboard.
+[* black] The ribbon cable should detach from the motherboard but remain connected to the screen, which can now be removed from the camera.
