-[* black] On reassembly, the ribbon cable removed in step 6 can present problems. Tape the other cables temporarily our of the way. Make a careful right-angle bend in the ribbon cable close to the connectors. Have a friend hold the display at a right angle to the logic case, with a gap between them. Use a pair of toothpicks to maneuver the ribbon cable into position and then push it (GENTLY!) in place with a toothpick, from that gap. It doesn't go all the way in. Toothpicks are softer than metal, and easier on the cable.
