In plan B, you will leave the cut cables in place, and run a new set of cables above the deck. You will need to buy a new two-line connector. They are not easy to find.
+[* black] ***Plan A*** You can re-use the current cable "harness" for the fans. The fans are actually run in series (electricity goes through one then the other.) Worse: the fans are connected in series with their own cables, which run through the middle of the where it is difficult to disassemble and access them.
