-[* blue] The wires running out of the flash will need to be cut and then the new flash unit spliced into the preexisting wires.
-[* black] Now you can replace the entire flash assembly.

+[* yellow] With a [[Item:Phillips 00 Screwdriver|Phillips #00]] screwdriver, unscrew the 3mm screw holding the flash assembly in place by twisting counter-clockwise.
+[* blue] Cut the wires running out from the flash assembly. When installing the new flash assembly, splice the new wires into the preexisting wires.
+[* black] The camera is now ready for you to install a new flash assembly.
