[* icon_note] If you are using ball ended-strings, just insert the string into the bridge from the bottom. The ball will hold the string in place.
[* icon_note] The first three strings (the low E, A, and D strings) have "Thick" and "Springy" ends. The "Thick" end usually has a sticker attached to it. The three thinnest strings (G, B, and high E) do not have Thick or Springy ends, so use which ever end you prefer.
[* black] Insert the Thick end of the string into the top of the bridge until about 3-4 inches of the string is sticking out of the bottom of the bridge.
-[* black] Wrap the short end of the string around the long end of the string from the left side. This creates a Loop.
+[* black] Wrap the short end of the string around the long end of the string. This creates a Loop.
[* black] Pass the short end of the string through the loop 2 to 3 times. Make sure the final pass leaves the string ***underneath the bridge***.
[* icon_note] The thinnest strings (B and (high) E) will require 3 passes through the loop at least.
[* black] Pull both ends of the string to tighten the knot. Make sure the knot is tight and secure before moving on.
