| + | [* black] With the short end of the string (from right to left), make 2 to 3 knots by passing the string under the loop. Make sure the final knot ends ***underneath the bridge***. |

If you have trouble telling the difference, the Thick end usually has a sticker attached to it. The three thinnest strings (G, B, and high E) do not have Thick or Springy ends, so use which ever end you prefer. |
