-[* black] Locate the black plastic tab on the back of the speaker face, that is the entire volume button. Remove the tape that is partially covering the part.
+[* black] Locate the black plastic volume button on each side of the back of the speaker face. Remove the tape that is partially covering the button. Then use the plastic opening tool to pry the button off of the speaker face.
