[* black] If the lens takes a hard hit, it is this zoom assembly that will probably break . In my case a couple of the support studs snapped off.
[* black] Glue any broken pieces with strongest epoxy glue you can find. Superglue is probably not a good choice because it won't handle any lateral knocks.
