[* red] The old fan can be removed by sliding it out of the fan/heat sink assembly.
[* icon_note] Note: You can use canned air to clean out the fan vents for better CPU cooling.
[* orange] Insert the new fan into the fan slot in the fan/heat sink assembly. Put the assembly back together with the micro screws.
- [* black] Make sure the fan can freely rotate without friction against its small housing, after assembly with micro screws. Use the compressed air or blow into the fan. Use a screwdriver as a wedge to widen the space between the fan and its housing if necessary as was in my case. This step will save you a lot of time & efforts redoing all the steps again!
+ [* icon_note] Before reassembly, make sure your new fan freely rotates within its housing.
