[* black] Solder the other wire (often white, but it might be green if you're repairing Apple earphones) the same way.
-[* black] Use your [product|IF145-046|wire stripper] to expose about 1cm of the each wire.

+[* black] You must also remove the plastic coating from each smaller, individual wire by using a wire stripper, fine sandpaper, or something of that sort.
