-[* black] Use your fingernail or a small coin to get underneath the battery cover latch. Gently pry the plastic battery cover loose from the indentations at the bottom of the console that correspond to slots on the cover.

- [* icon_note] Note the presence of multiple plastic tabs at the bottom of the battery cover; this is important during re-assembly.
