[* black] Huzzah! The rear cover is held in place with various welcoming clips instead of fierce adhesive.
-[* black] We manage to pop the rear cover off without a hitch—or so we thought.
- [* black] It seems the rear-facing camera, while not adhered in place, nevertheless conforms very tightly to its contours on the rear case. When the rear case is removed, the camera comes with it.
-[* black] To make matters worse, the camera connector is on the underside of the motherboard, which means we can't reconnect it with ease.
+[* black] No tools required to pop this cover off, just some sturdy fingernails. All seems to be going well, until we notice the rear-facing camera lodged in the rear case...
+ [* black] The camera seems to fit a little too snuggly in its cubicle in the rear case, and got pulled right out of its ZIF connector on the motherboard.
+[* black] To make matters worse, the camera connector is on the underside of the motherboard, which means we'll have to remove the board to reconnect the camera.
