-[* black] I cut two 18 inch long pieces of 3/4 inch steel angle. The angles were mounted inside the door and secured with fender washers and 10-32 machine screws. Then I reassembled the door, slid it back on the hinges, and it was fixed!
-[* black] Expensive stove with almost useless oven was good to go! The front panel still gets pretty hot, but not so hot that you're burned if you touch it. The oven gets to temperature and the cooking person who uses recipes no longer complains about super-long cooking times.
