+[* black] Unplug the black and red wires connecting the speakers—on both ends of the panel—to a circuit board on the center of the panel by carefully pulling at the wires close to their connection with the circuit board.

+[* black] Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws and two brackets—two screws and one bracket per speaker— holding the speakers in place.
