-[* black] Remove the screw on either side as shown. Be careful not to let the screw fall in to teh mechanism. One did for me and fell on the ink roller. You can see the mark it made on the roller in the third picture. Then remove the plastic catches as shown in the second picture. The two parts now fall apart.
