[* black] There are two hinge guards, located on the left and right of the laptop, that you will need to remove.
-[* black] Insert a finger nail in the slot between the laptop base and one of the hinge guards. Gently pull towards you so the guard pops off. You will hear a pop and a click as the guard comes off.
