- | [* black] === Before Disassembly === We recommend that you do this over a cookie sheet so you don’t lose the four screws holding the device together. Zip loc bags are great for keeping these screws all in one place. At the very least do this over a hard surface of some kind, never above a carpeted surface. We also recommend that you have a static free cloth (made of natural fiber like cotton, not polyester) to set the circuit boards on. This protects the circuitry from getting scratched or short circuited; these things could damage your device further. |

+ | [* black] Now remove the two batteries by pulling on the cloth black tab (circle on the tab). If this tab is not visible, use the flat head screwdriver and gently pry out the batteries by pushing on the positive end which is opposite the spring. (action picture) |
