-[* black] Beginning with the notch shown in the picture at the bottom of the phone, start to separate the back casing from the phone using your thumb, you will need to apply pressure.
-[* black] Insert the plastic opening tool in the separation you created. While still applying pressure with your thumb, slide the opening tool up the separation from the bottom of the phone to the top until you remove the back casing.
-[* black] Set the back casing to the side.
+[* black] Locate the notch in the back of the phone (it is highlighted with a yellow circle in the picture)
+[* black] Use your thumb to push up on the notch, separating the back half of the phone from the keyboard and screen in the front
+[* black] Slide the opening tool in between the two halves of the phone
+[* black] Continually apply upward pressure with the opening tool to pop the back casing off of the main body
+[* black] You should now have 5 parts: The battery cover (removed in step 1), the battery, the screws, the back casing, and the main body of the phone
+[* black] Set the back casing aside
