[title] Install the new battery
[* black] Apply flux to the tinned pad
-[* black] Place the tinned wire on the pad
- [* black] If replacing the left ear then the pad corresponding to black wire will be labeled Bat - on the PCB
- [* black] If replacing the right ear then the pad corresponding to red wire will be labeled Bat + on the PCB
-[* black] Use tweezers to hold the tinned wire in position on the pad
-[* black] Place the tip of the iron onto the pretinned wire until the solder melts and the the wire is drawn into the solder on the pad
-[* black] Use tweexers to ensure that the wire is securely attached to the pad
+[* black] Use tweezers to hold the tinned wire in position on the tinned pad
+ [* icon_caution] If you're replacing the battery on the left earbud then the pad corresponding to black wire will be labeled ''***BAT -***'' on the PCB
+ [* icon_caution] If you're replacing the battery on the right earbud then the pad corresponding to red wire will be labeled ''***BAT +***'' on the PCB
+[* black] While holding the wire in place with one hand use the other hand to place the tip of the iron onto the pretinned wire until the solder melts and the the wire is drawn into the blob of solder on the pad.
+ [* icon_caution] Makes sure that there is no solder bridging the two pads together. Be extremely careful if you're soldering/desoldering lithium-polymer battery wires! You can easily short the battery with solder or your tools, resulting in battery damage and a fire hazard. Follow these precautions:
+ [* icon_note] Nudge the solder joint with a pair of tweezers to ensure that the wire is securely attached to the pad
