[* black] Insert the tip of an opening tool, pick tool or razor blade into the battery cover seam ***no more than 1 mm*** and work your way around the seam until the cover releases from the base of the earbud. (Photo 1)
[* icon_caution] Be careful not to damage the 4 plastic prongs on the base of the earbud (Photo 2) or the 5th retaining clip located at the top of the earbud cover (Photo 3) that are used to hold the battery cover in place.
-[* icon_note] If any of the retaining clips or prongs are broken during the removal process, then you can use hot glue to secure the cover when finished replacing the battery.
