Astonishingly, that *user serviced* strainer is attached to screw threads facing an unremovable front panel and is inaccessible from the rear. Removing the front panel to gain access is a complete tear down. |
[* black] It’s as if the mechanical designer and the drain layout guy hate each other, or perhaps they just hate us, the consumer. If there was a stupid design award, this should be it. But there’s a quick (and dirty) way out of the full teardown. | |
[* black] Take off the bottom access panel. It’s flimsy, mine was all bent up and came off easily, you’ll need to squeeze 3 plastic cable harness standoffs and free them from the access panel. |
