[title] Understand what you will do
[* black] What you will basically do with this mod, is to bypass the AC rectifier circuitry. (Disable the need for a 9V AC power brick)
[* black] You will enable at the same time the capability to take a 12V DC power supply.
[* black] This is done by two jumpers: One that bypasses the diode CR19, and another bypassing the power doubler and the 12v voltage regulator.
-[* black] Your drive will no longer take 9V AC, and it will be permanently damaged if you ever plug a 9V AC power supply again. For this reason, it is imperative that you add a label to the outer case of the drive that states it takes 12V DC / 2A.
+[* black] This is a permanent mode, and your drive will no longer take 9V AC however, you may reverse the mod by simply removing the two jumper wires.
