[title] Detach the Touchpad Cable
[* black] Locate the large black cable on the right side connecting the touchpad to the mainboard.
[* black] On the mainboard side of the cable, there is a large loop with a orange spot. Insert your finger through the loop and pull up.
[* icon_note] It is not recommended to remove the touchpad cable from the touchpad side unless the touchpad or touchpad cable is being replaced, as this side is more fragile.
[* icon_note] There should be little resistance when removing the cable. Avoid excessive force which may damage the cable.
[* black] You can now safely remove the input cover from the laptop.
[* icon_reminder] During reassembly:
[* black] Remember to connect the new touchpad cable to the mainboard before placing the new input cover on the laptop.
