+[* black] Cut off the existing cable leaving about 10" attached to the pedal circuit board.
+[* black] Strip the cable and the inner conductors.
+[* black] Using a multimeter in continuity mode, test the tip, ring, and sleeve conductors for continuity.
+[* black] Be sure to move the cable around to test for possible intermittent breaks especially where the cable enters the pedal assembly.
+[* black] ***If your existing cable is good, go to the next step.***
+ [* black] Unsolder the existing cable. Remove the cable clamp and zip tie.
+ [* black] Strip the new replacement cable and solder it to the pedal circuit board.
+ [* black] Add a zip tie as a strain relief for the cable.
