[* black] Connect the power cord to a power source ( after removing the top cover).
[* black] Uses a Multimeter, to check the voltage of each wire inside the drill, (note): The voltage is supposed to be around 120 volts
[* black] When a wire does not have power running through, mark it with a maker to indicate that the wire needs to be replaced.
[* black] After marking the wires that are suspected to be damaged, unplug the power cord from the power sources.
[* black] Start by replacing the wire that is close to the switch box.
[* black] Before replacing the next wire, test and see if power is running through all wires.
